Unloading a giant catamaran roof at the commercial harbour
On Saturday, 13 Sept., our handling teams supervised the unloading of a catamaran roof weighing 6.5 T, shipped from Southampton on board the BBC LIVORNO.
The roof is a superstructure covering the central living area of a catamaran, serving both as protection, structural support, and a platform for maneuvering or relaxation.
Its dimensions (24 m long by 12 m wide) required transport by exceptional convoy from the commercial harbour quay to the Keroman ship repair area, where the giant catamaran – designed for racing-cruising– is currently being assembled by FC Cube.
Congratulations to all the logistics chain stakeholders for successfully completing this delicate operation !
A.M.L and its O.M.A. department carried out the vessel’s agency and the customs clearance of the roof.
