The research vessel CELTIC VOYAGER at Lorient

R/V Celtic Voyager, former fishing vessel converted as scientific research vessel, called at Lorient port on 3rd and 4th May 2016 at P9 terminal. She has 8 crew members and 6 scientists on board.

Sailing from Cork in Ireland, where her last mission was to take samples of fish eggs and scan the seabed in Celtic Sea, she will sail in the Atlantic Ocean, along the French coast. The expedition’s purpose is to count the prawns thanks to an underwater camera.
